Plant Manager

Location: Production Products, Inc., Columbus Grove, Ohio
Position Description: Under the general direction of the Director of Manufacturing, has the responsibility and authority for directing, coordinating, and managing the overall plant operations. Assures that organizational or divisional production objectives are achieved at the lowest cost consistent with quality requirements.

Essential Job Function:
Coordinates the execution of manufacturing schedules based on sales requirements and plant capacity.

Controls quality, cost production, warehousing, receiving and shipping of raw materials through appropriate subordinates.

Confers with subordinates and other plant personnel on the application of methods & production standards, incentives rates, standards, and adherence to safety programs.

Review all recommendations for special machinery, and works closely with product & process research & development program changes.

Represent the needs of the customer in internal functions in addressing all requirements for corrective & preventive actions.

Determines plant policies consistent with organization or division policies as well directs and supervises the application of such policies to the plant’s manufacturing operations.

Participants in long-range plant expansion, conversion, and equipment planning.

Oversees the maintenance of buildings & equipment & plant security and protection.

Reviews and approves recommendations of subordinates in matters of personal and rate changes.

Has the authority & responsibility to establish the duties & responsibilities for positions reporting directly to him.

Treats all team member with respect & dignity.

Performs other tasks as assigned.



Job Qualifications Requirements:

College degree, preferably in the field of business administration or operations. Three to five years experience in plant management, preferably with an automotive stamping supplier.

Special Skills:

The ability to administer policies and procedures dictated by corporate resources.


Major Physical & Mental Requirements:

The Team Member will be required to walk, push, pull , reach overhead, and bend to the floor. Will be required to exert up to 50 pounds of pressure occasionally.


Working Conditions:

Normal stamping and assembly plant environment. Hazards may include loud noises, physical dangers from operating machines & machine parts, and breathing of dust or fumes.
